O resultado da tour acústica dos Young Gods, foi um álbum, também ele acústico, onde a carreira de mais de 20 anos da banda é re-visitada de forma brilhante, e onde comprovamos que, até despida de maquinaria, a música e, também, a voz de Franz Treichler, conseguem ser surpreendentes.
"Knock On Wood - The Acoustic Sessions" é o título do álbum, lançado em Maio pela editora belga Play It Again Sam [PIAS]. Nele se faz um passeio pela discografia da banda desde "Charlotte" do álbum "L'Eau Rouge" de 1989 até "I'm The Drug" e "Everywhere" do recente "Super Ready/Fragmente" (2007), passando por exemplo pelo magistral "TV Sky" (1991) com "Our House" e "Tv Sky".
Mas este disco, não é apenas (mais) uma repetição de uma fórmula já usada e abusada, de substituir instrumentos eléctricos e electrónicos por outros mais convencionais e acústicos, apenas porque sim ou porque determinada banda ou músico precisam de atenção. Este é um daquelas discos acústicos que deixam marca no ouvido, já que apesar de despida da sua forte e característica componente electrónica, cada uma das músicas mantém a sua força, intensidade e beleza próprias e ganham novo brilho com as belas vocalizações de Franz Treichler.
